Be Your Own General Contractor

Congratulations! You've just begun your journery as your own General Contractor. You are in charge of your renovation. You coordinate the trades and supplies and YOU decide the cost of your renovation.

Just because you're in charge does not mean you're alone. We've created a simple 3 step process to help you be a successful General Contractor; because being your own General Contractor is as easy as 1-2-3! We carefully crafted a system that allows you to be a successful GC no matter your level of experience or expertise. From reading material, to access to our list of contractors to supplies at reduced rates, we want to make sure you succeed.
1 Learn from the book. 2 Consult with our experts. 3 Access trades and supplies

We were drawn to the "be your own general contractor" stream Premier Quality Renovations offers, given our interest in construction and desire to be involved in the decision making process. They were very open to helping us in any way we desired - either taking on the whole project from start to finish, or assisting in an advisory role with us organizing the various trades as the manager. Premier Quality Renovations was encouraging and made us feel like we were capable of tackling our project.

Step 1 The first step in being your own General Contractor is to learn the basics of the industry. Similar to learning to fly a plane, you first have to learn the theory before your step foot in the plane. With our book "How To Be Your Own General Contractor" we will teach you just as the title says. You will learn what you need to know in order to be a successful GC. Whether this is your first experience managing your own renovation or you're a seasoned pro, there's something for everyone in this book. The book is available for order on our website any time. Get started with the first step in being your own GC by purchasing the book today!

Step 2 The second step in being your own General Contractor is to consult with experts in the field. You've learnt the theory of flight, but that doesn't make you a pilot yet. Without an instructor showing you the basics of flying, your success rate is low. Let our expert consultants be your instructor! We will teach you everything you need to be a successful GC and will be your guiding hand throughout the process. Consultations are available nearly any time via FaceTime, Whatsapp, Skype, Facebook Messenger, Zoom.

Step 3 The third step in being your own General Contractor is accessing your trades and supplies at affordable, discounted rates. Now that you've got your flying permit, you need an airplane to fly! By far, the largest cost factor in renovations are the trade and supplies necessary for your renovation. With the Premier Access Card you can save up to 60% on everything reno. As the holder of this card you will have access to wholesale prices at hundreds of trusted trades and suppliers which takes away the worry of costs and gives you more time to focus on what's important - being your own General Contractor!

Premier’s Access Card saved us $150k on our $820K renovation project!

…The work started on time and progressed quickly. Peter’s guys would show up at 7am and work into the evening, sometimes quite late. Peter was on site nearly every day (for 3 months!), and if he was unable to stop by, would always call, usually with the question “Are you happy?”. Communication was constant throughout the entire process.

Everyone involved in the project had a high level of expertise in what they do, and the quality of workmanship and attention to detail was beyond compare. We would have little “meetings” to collaborate, discuss options and share opinions when I was not sure exactly what I wanted. Everyone’s input was thoughtful, knowledgeable and invaluable!

The trades that Peter deals with are the best in the business. Plumbers, electricians, stair & railing installers, cabinet makers, countertop craftsmen, roofers, glass fabricators, the list goes on…

Dexter and I have heard nothing less than phenomenal reactions to our beautiful home renovations.  Peter and his crew have demonstrated 110% professionalism and workmanship.

From the project planning, cost estimation and roll out, we were kept informed on a daily basis, and Peter (and crew) were always just a phone call away, morning day and night 7 days a week.  When DOES the man sleep?  Due to the extent of our renos, we had times when living in the house proved challenging, but each day was an exciting new chapter, and the guys worked hard and long to help bring our dream come true.

Looking forward to many years of enjoying our home, and most of all, our new found friendship with Peter.

This has been our fourth home renovation project (and third bathroom) with Premier Quality Renovations and we are thrilled with the outcome.  Peter and his professional team are meticulous and produce beautiful results that will last a lifetime.  We would not hesitate to recommend Premier for a variety of home renovations, but especially for custom work where attention to detail is a priority.

Premier Renovations recently completed an entire basement renovation and totally exceeded our expectations. We are absolutely delighted with the final outcome and so impressed with all the highly skilled individuals we dealt with.
Peter made excellent recommendations on where we could investigate flooring , lighting, plumbing, cabinetry etc. He was superb at coordinating all the trades and making sure all timelines were met. His team of professionals always showed up on time, worked and exceptionally long day , were meticulous and very flexible. They are very knowledgeable and clearly take pride in their jobs offering suggestions to improve the overall end result. I would highly recommend Premier Renovations and his dedicated and professional team .
