The Meeting House Church
As the 2020 growing season comes to an end, the Creation Care Team at The Meeting House Oakville would like to express our heartfelt thanks for your support of our Food Garden. Thank you so much for your guidance and help in constructing our raised bed gardens! This was our pilot project year, and without the support of generous volunteers like you, we would not have been successful.
You helped us build six raised beds to enabling a team of 20 volunteers to provide 235 bags of fresh produce to Oakville and Mississauga food programs. The Salvation Army Lighthouse shelter in Oakville, and several other food banks programs received 900 tomatoes, 109 green peppers, 47 cucumbers, 58 zucchini, 50 beets, and 103 bags of kale, Swiss chard, spinach and beet greens from July 2 through October 15! Because of your generosity, many people were nourished and encouraged during this difficult time of isolation and economic uncertainty.
We are planning on expanding our garden next year. Perhaps you may be able to help us out again?
Again, thank you so much and bless you for your open hearted giving.
Sincerely,
Rick
